Love Your Enemies

1. Love is a Choice, Not a Feeling:

God isn't asking us to feel warm emotions toward those who hurt us

Love is demonstrated through our actions and choices

The Holy Spirit works on our feelings as we choose to act in love

2. Three Ways Loving Our Enemies Changes Everything:

Changes how we respond to the world

Keeps our hearts free from bitterness

Honors the love and grace of God

3. We Were Once Enemies of God:

Before salvation, we were God's enemies (Romans 5:10)

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us

God modeled loving enemies through Jesus on the cross
